Wondering why we are sending these pretty colourful yams in your Misfit boxes?
We are pretty lucky to be working alongside a grower that is focusing on developing a heritage seed bank here in Taupo. These ancient species were brought over to NZ by Kiwi ancestors when they settled, and are in need of preserving.
So once the best of these yams have been selected for storage, our lucky wee hands can purchase the surplus!
Stopping food waste + yummy yams = Happy Lil' Misfits!
